Tapping any transporter in the search results opens their Driver Details Page:

1. Verified Seat Capacity & Anti-Overloading Caps

Every vehicle on Scholar Rides has an administrator-verified seat cap (vehicle_capacity). The app tracks all active contracts on each route:

  1. Available Seats: Calculated dynamically as vehicle_capacity - active_contracts.
  2. Route Full Lock: If 0 seats remain, the route button displays: No Seats Available (Route Full) and booking is disabled to prevent overloading.


2. Payment Terms & Annual Cost Calculations

Depending on the school calendar and driver preference, transport pricing can be structured under different payment terms:

  1. 12 Months (Standard Monthly): The base monthly fee is billed each month across the full calendar year.
  2. 11 Months: The total annual cost is spread over 11 equal payments (calculated as (Base Monthly × 12) / 11), with no debit in December.
  3. 10 Months: The annual cost is spread over the 10 core school term months (calculated as (Base Monthly × 12) / 10), with no debit during major school holidays.


3. Online vs. Offline Billing Models

  1. Online Card Billing: Automated monthly card subscription debits processed through prescribed payment gateway.
  2. Driver Collects Offline: The driver manages base transport fees directly via cash/EFT. In this mode, contract tracking and GPS monitoring remain active in the app.
